I started my Google Stadia Pro membership in April 2020 — one month into the Global COVID-19 Pandemic — which was four months after the official launch of Google Stadia Pro in November 2019 — a subscription gaming service offered by Google. At that time, it was becoming clear that I (and many others) were going to be spending a lot more time at home, and it just so happened to be that Google was giving away Google Stadia Pro for FREE as a trial at that time. So I took advantage of that opportunity — and have never regretted it since.

If you are interested in learning more about Google Stadia Pro — here is the direct Google Support URLs below — I currently enjoy at or around 90 games (some AAA) in which I can share directly with my friends and family members as part of my Google Family who can play for FREE on their end:

Over a year later, Google Stadia has advanced and developed as a cloud gaming platform, and now includes gaming features such as, but not limited to:

  • Live Streaming Google Stadia Games directly to YouTube
  • [Gaming] State Share
  • Hosting a Gaming Party with Friends and Family Members

Live Streaming to YouTube from Google Stadia has been around since December 2020, but it took me until about July 2021 to really think more about creating a dedicated Google Stadia YouTube Channel for the live streams of my gaming. It was mostly because, I had to perform individual research on how to set up the configuration between YouTube and Google Stadia, and I also knew it was going to involve creating some digital content to shape a very amateur brand.

However, after I was all setup and done, I have to say — the setup was really easy. So kudos to Google, YouTube, and the Google Stadia teams for making this seamless. The only nuances that I encountered were that the setup required pre-requisites to set up, configure, and link your Google Stadia account and your new (or existing YouTube channel). Additionally, there were some business rules with YouTube that I did not know at first, such as:

First, when I decided I wanted to create a dedicated YouTube Channel, I had to think of a branded name, and unfortunately the one that I originally chose for Google Stadia back in April 2020; I just felt that it was going to run into a similar issue like this YouTube Gamer, who was forced by Nintendo / Pokemon to change their name. Additionally, I became aware that on YouTube my User Name was taken already! I wanted parity between my new YouTube Channel, and my Google Stadia User Name. Luckily — Google has dedicated support for Google Stadia, and I was immediately able to update my User Name to: SailorNinjaStar.

Then to help build an amateur brand for my new YouTube Channel, I was able to use the websites: www.canva.com & https://spark.adobe.com/sp/.

I am now setup and on my way to being a Live Streaming Google Stadia Pro Gamer! At least — in MY mind — I’m a Pro Gamer, even if, I never seem to win and be “Bomber One” on Super Bomberman R Online :)
